Ingredients
For the Pizza Bowl
- 1 lb ground Italian sausage or ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small bell pepper, chopped
- ½ small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup low-sugar pizza sauce or marinara
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup pepperoni slices
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions
1. Cook the Meat
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground sausage or beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
2. Sauté the Vegetables
Add mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
3. Add the Sauce
Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
4. Assemble the Pizza Bowls
Divide the mixture into oven-safe bowls or ramekins.
Top each bowl with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and pepperoni slices. Add any additional toppings you like.
5. Bake
Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
For a golden top, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
6. Serve
Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
